While high-profile hacking and infamous data breaches have raised security awareness this year, it remains to be seen whether or not IT security on the whole will improve.
While hacker groups like Anonymous and LulzSec have waged very public campaigns against corporations and governments, security vendors and solutions providers have struggled to stay ahead of the curve of new attacks, cyber-crime schemes and malware.
